Cesar Chavez Dual-Language Immersion Charter School serves grades K-3, adding a grade each year through 8th grade. The school embraces the languages and cultures of the students and uses these linguistic assets and cultural affirmations as foundations for building long-term academic success. The school provides a quality program of instruction, using dual-language immersion pedagogy aimed at developing full literacy (speak, read, write, and compute) in both English and Spanish. In addition, the school will provide parents with the opportunity to be true partners in their children's education. The school plans to offer support services to parents as well in an effort to empower and encourage their participation in their children’s educational success. These services include English literacy development classes and free family counseling services through a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara Community Counseling Services.
