El Sol Academy is the first K-8 public school of its kind in Orange County; as a charter school, it demonstrates high levels of educational performance and accountability and provides school choice to parents. Emphasizing a mix of arts and sciences, and two-way Spanish and English immersion, students are encouraged to gain hands-on experience and development of their interests through specialized courses, field trips, and community services. Their mission is to provide a rigorous academic environment that prepares students for entrance into a college preparatory track at the high school of their choice and to create a culture of kindness, creativity, courage, and honesty that will permit them to assume leadership roles in the 21st century.
