Founded in 1988, Housing Our Communities, Inc. formerly known as Housing for Mesa, promotes the creation and preservation of permanent, affordable housing and provides housing support services for low-income families and individuals with children. Housing Our Communities has created a private/public partnership in which public resources are leveraged to bring in additional private resources and in-kind contributions from the community, including participation by local lending institutions. Current programs include: First-Time Homebuyer Program; substantial rehabilitation for existing owner occupants; and housing information and counseling services.
