Founded in 1980, Humanidad, Inc. is a nonprofit agency providing bilingual/bicultural educational and residential services, as well as advocacy and health care for persons with disabilities. Its services include: residential management, nursing, education, life domain, and behavioral programs for persons with developmental disabilities. Humanidad maintains five independent community residential homes in the greater Hartford region, each serving a small number of clients. Direct care is provided 24 hours a day by more than 30 full-time and part-time employees and contractors.
