Founded in 1977, Instituto del Progreso Latino (IPL) is dedicated to promoting the full development of Latinos and their families with programs in education training, employment, and leadership. IPL was established as an Alternative Adult Education high school, and now offers educational services to youth and adults. Some of the educational programs offered include ESL, manufacturing training, GED courses, citizenship program, Spanish literacy program, family literacy program, workers' rights program, job placement services, and technical training. In addition, IPL is actively involved in advocacy efforts concerning immigration issues.
