Founded in 1969, Latin Americans for Social and Economic Development, Inc. (LASED) promotes the social and economic development of the Hispanic community and of all residents of southwest Detroit. It provides employment and training, weatherization/energy, information and referral, educational, advocacy, and senior citizen and youth services. LASED sponsors and coordinates an annual “Yuletide Fiesta” which supplies food, toys, and clothing to the needy during the Christmas season. |
