Latino Memphis strives to develop partnerships that enable mid-South Latinos to overcome commonly faced obstacles such as inadequate access to health care coverage, homeownership, and educational opportunities. The organization’s mission is to promote the advancement of the Latino community in Memphis and the mid-South region. This mission is carried out through providing a variety of services to the community, including youth leadership programs, local and statewide advocacy efforts, and maintaining the Latino Memphis Community Center, which provides a space for health services, educational initiatives, and community fairs. The organization also provides information and referral services, offers cultural diversity training to area businesses and organizations, and supports Latino Girl and Boy Scout Troops.
