Para los Niños
Para Los Niños is a nonprofit family services agency designed to support families and communities and to help at-risk children succeed through positive educational opportunities. Para Los Niños serves nearly 4,000 families each year and more than 2,500 children, ranging from six weeks to 18 years old, each weekday. Programs and services are located at 20 sites throughout some of the most impoverished neighborhoods in Southern California. The agency’s programs include: childcare and child development centers, after-school and summer day camp programs, youth center, juvenile crime prevention program, family resource centers, family outreach project, mental health services, and family preservation programs. Para Los Niños is fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Children and Families. Only 7% of U.S. agencies serving children and families achieve this goal. |
