National Farm Workers Service Center (NWFSC) was founded by Cesar Chavez in 1966 to ensure that working families, especially farm worker families, had the community resources available to them to improve their quality of life. Since then, the organization has expanded to meet the changing needs of working families and Latino communities. They have excelled as a community leader throughout their five-state area - Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington – a region which is home to about 60% of the nation’s Latino population. NFWSC also provides services, leadership, and training across the country as well as affordable housing for working families, communication through their network of radio stations, and quality education through their direct instructional programs.
