Founded in 1983, Visionary Home Builders of California, formerly known as Asociación Campesina Lazaro Cardenas (ACLC), has developed over 75 single-family homes and 168 multifamily units. All projects that ACLC develops serve low- and very-low-income families, with a significant percentage of those families being Hispanic. ACLC advocates for low-income families through participation on various local housing advocacy boards and regional, state, and national affordable housing agencies. Through this advocacy effort, ACLC makes certain that the voice of low-income families and Hispanics is heard when local governments and groups develop affordable housing programs and policies.
