Aurora Weier Educational Center
Founded in 1977, Aurora Weier Educational Center’s mission is to serve Hispanics and the community through several programs, which emphasize individual attention, caring, and support. Aurora Weier offers services and programs that promote education such as the Bilingual Alternative High School (BAHS), literacy programs, ESL classes, a GED program, and a summer youth program for approximately 40 children. In efforts to better serve the community, Aurora Weir plans to rehabilitate their current building in order to provide space for nine classrooms, a day care center, six offices, a reading lounge, a conference room, and a waiting area. All areas of the newly-rehabilitated building will be handicap-accessible. |
