Bridge Academy
In 1997, the Bridge Academy opened a charter high school in an effort to address the growing issues in high school education in the Bridgeport area (crowding, security, bureaucracy, scheduling, etc.). The college preparatory high school is small, with only 175 students, and maintains a class size of no more than 18 students. The Bridge Academy is run by parents, teachers, and students to ensure that the community is involved in decision-making regarding school policies, curriculum, and budget. The high school is free and open to all students in the greater Bridgeport area. |
