U.S. TREASURER ANNA ESCOBEDO CABRAL, ACTRESSES SONIA MANZANO AND LUPE ONTIVEROS, AND UNIVISION ANCHOR MARIA ELENA SALINAS TO SPEAK AT 2005 NCLR ANNUAL CONFERENCE LATINAS BRUNCH

Washington, DC – The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) will host a Latinas Brunch on Sunday, July 17 featuring prominent Hispanic women in government and entertainment discussing how to balance work and family. Moderated by President of Dorado Entertainment Inc. Maria Perez-Brown, the Brunch includes a lineup of panelists – including Anna Escobedo Cabral, U.S. Treasurer; Sonia Manzano, Sesame Street’s “Maria”; Lupe Ontiveros, famous TV and movie actress; and Maria Elena Salinas, Univision Anchor – who will address more than 1,700 people starting at 10:30 a.m. in the Ballroom of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

NCLR, the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S., will hold its 2005 Annual Conference July 16-19 in Philadelphia. All members of the media interested in attending the Latinas Brunch can pre-register for free online or pick up credentials on-site in Room 202B of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
