Description

This report examines the levels of representation of Hispanic personnel throughout the Department of Defense (DoD) during the period 1986 through 1996. NCLR analyzes data provided by the DoD regarding racial/ethnic representation in the United States Military Services for the civilian workforce and the military, new recruits, and enlisted and officer members of the Active and Reserve Components. These data were used to understand the factors associated with Latino participation in the DoD, and to identify measures to address existing disparities in membership. Illustrated with many charts, tables, and graphs.
