Summary

The U.S. Department of Education’s Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Partnership is an initiative with states to improve accommodations and content assessments in reading and mathematics for English language learner (ELL) students. States will receive recommendations for assessing ELL students, have the opportunity to work with experts within and outside the Department, and participate in forums on best practices for assessment and instruction for this specific population.
