2013 NCLR National Latino Advocacy Days

The 2013 NCLR National Latino Advocacy Days took place on March 6–7, 2013 at the Kellogg Conference Hotel in Washington, DC. The event brought together nearly 300 leaders from Latino nonprofit and civic organizations, representing 31 states and the District of Columbia. Participants pushed for immigration reform in a year that presents the historic opportunity to bring 11 million aspiring Americans out of the shadows.

During the event, representatives from NCLR Affiliates and partner organizations received intensive training on policy and legislative advocacy, learned about federal policy issues, and built relationships with their members of Congress through over 150 legislative visits on Capitol Hill. The state delegations were led by Affiliate and partner organizations, preparing them to conduct legislative advocacy in the future. Nearly 150 youth attended the Líderes Congreso at Advocacy Days and joined the other participants in their congressional visits.

The 2014 NCLR National Latino Advocacy Days will take place on March 5–6 in Washington, DC.
