Workforce Development Forum
NCLR Workforce Development Conference- ¡Fuerza! Stronger Economy, Stronger Latino Workers

Thank You for Joining Us in Chicago!
| Thank you to everyone who made the 2011 Workforce Development Forum, “¡Fuerza! Stronger Economy, Stronger Latino Workers,” a great success. With over 30 workshops and roundtable sessions presented by workforce development experts, and with keynote and plenary session remarks by leaders from the Department of Labor, city workforce agencies, and private foundations, participants delved into important and timely topics ranging from the needs of disconnected youth to employer engagement strategies. | |

The convening provided a setting to discuss solutions, share strategies, and forge partnerships to improve services for Latino workers in communities across the country. Community-based workforce development practitioners, policy advocates, government representatives, training and education providers, employers, and others came together to initiate collaborations and discuss the needs of Hispanic workers in a rapidly changing economy.
We hope that you walked away with valuable ideas and tools, and we look forward to continuing the conversation. |
