Health
NCLR’s recent health policy work has centered on increasing Latinos’ access to quality health care and coverage through federal health care reform legislation. Our health policy research informs our efforts to advance policies that improve the health outcomes and well-being of Latinos in the United States, with a special emphasis on Latino children’s health. As Latinos are overwhelmingly disconnected from the health care system, our efforts are focused on breaking down barriers that prevent Latino families from accessing the high-quality health care that they need to get and stay healthy. In addition to our health policy fact sheets, NCLR’s Profiles of Latino Health series provides at-a-glance synopses of the most frequently asked questions about Latinos and health care.
