Adelante, Inc. was found in 1996 as a community-based, family services, and resource agency. Its vision is a healthy and empowered Latino community that is able to celebrate diversity, history, and make significant contributions to the great Toledo and Northwest Ohio community. Since its inception, Latino families have benefitted from Adelante’s culturally-specific programs in violence prevention and alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention services. This organization currently offers services for adults and children including: drug prevention education, life skills mentoring, academic tutoring, early literacy educational services, ESL classes, domestic violence supportive services, advocates for healthy pregnancies, and economic literacy guidance.
