Casa Familiar, Inc. was formed in 1968. While social services remain the primary emphasis, the agency now provides a broad variety of programs for individuals and families, at-risk youth, and senior citizens. Additionally, Casa Familiar is active in affordable housing, community revitalization, and economic development. The agency operates two multipurpose community/recreational centers, including a free computer lab, to increase educational and employment opportunities and advance the health and well-being of all community members. Casa Familiar services primarily the South Bay area of San Diego County bordering Mexico.
