East LA Community Corporation (ELACC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community development corporation based in East Los Angeles. Since 1996, ELACC has harnessed over $80 million in housing and other community development resources to improve the quality of life of the low-income residents of Boyle Heights and Unincorporated East Los Angeles. ELACC's mission is to produce and preserve quality affordable housing and to nurture community and economic development opportunities for low income and disenfranchised residents of these neighborhoods. ELACC's client base is 94% Latino. Its programs serve approximately 1,200 people each year. Almost 100% of ELACC clients are low- to extremely-low income. ELACC has three core program depeartments, housing, economic development, and community organizing all focused on: community development through collaboration, community organizing and capacity building.
