HBC Services’ mission is to make homeownership a reality for families who demonstrate a strong desire to own their own home. The goal of HBC Services is to create a sound organization to meet the homeownership needs of low- and moderate-income households through education and financial assistance. HBC Services’ counseling program includes eight operating components established with participating lenders, realtors, community groups, and eligible households. HBC Services provides a complete package of supportive counseling services to empower participants to achieve the dream of homeownership. The assistance is provided throughout the homebuying process, with credit awareness, acquiring budget and management skills, learning about mortgage products and guidelines, the selection of property, and the responsibilities of homeownership. The homebuyer program has provided over 100 homebuyer counseling seminars, which provided homebuyer education to over 1,000 households. Of these households, 500 of them have purchased a home.
