KIPP San Antonio

San Antonio,Texas

KIPP San Antonio is a network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter schools inside Loop 410.  We operate two middle schools (grades five to eight) and a high school.  Our schools are part of the national KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) network.  KIPP schools are dedicated to preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life.  KIPP San Antonio schools feature a “no shortcuts, no excuses” philosophy and a strong culture of achievement.  Our extended school day, week, and year enable us to provide our students a well-rounded education, with sufficient time dedicated to academics, the arts, enrichment, and having fun.  At each school, outstanding and committed educators give students the support and motivation that they need to excel.  KIPP schools are nationally recognized for their successful approach to educating students from underresourced communities.  Nationally, more than 85% of KIPP alumni who graduated from KIPP in eighth grade have enrolled in college, which is double that of community averages.
