La Alianza Hispana serves the Latino community and all residents of the surrounding Dudley Square neighborhoods. The goal is to empower individuals and families, strengthen communities and develop leaders through high-quality education and social services, advocacy and community organizing. La Alianza Hispana has served more than 30,000 Bostonians and serves as a hub of social service delivery, advocacy, and education. Their programs focus on combating the effects of poverty and strengthening families. Their services fall under two categories: (1) Health and Human Service programs that help bridge the gap in health disparities and (2) Workforce and Learning programs that help prepare Latinos for careers by offering services that enhance basic skills.
