Founded in 1991, the Latino Community Development Agency (LCDA) aims to enhance the quality of life of the Latino community through education, leadership, services, and advocacy. LCDA’s programs include: school-based prevention programs, including youth outings and parental outreach through family camping; housing; child abuse prevention; immunizations outreach; job training/placement for 16- to 21-year-olds; job referral; mentoring, tutoring, and counseling for youth involved with the juvenile authorities and their families; gang prevention and intervention; a mini-loan pool in collaboration with nine banks; and DUI assessment.
