The Latin American Integration Center (LAIC) is a non-profit, community-based organization founded in 1992 with the mission of strengthening Latin American immigrant's communities in New York City by promoting the exercise and protection of human and civil rights. LAIC's comphrensive programs empower immigrants through education, leadership development, community organizing and grassroots advocacy for responsible public policy, and services that improve the quality of life for immigrants and their families. Since its inception, LAIC has served as a vehicle for the empowerment of low-income families and individuals, and for the revitalization of communities in Queens and Staten Island.
