Founded in 1972, Organización Cívica y Cultural Hispana Americana (OCCHA) is dedicated to identifying problem areas in the Spanish-speaking community and establishing programs that address those problems. OCCHA assists the Hispanic community by providing programs in welfare, social security, housing, clothing, emergency food, health services, labor-related problems, youth programs, ESL, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preparation, computer training, job placement, an after-school tutorial program, a bilingual program for languages other than Spanish, and a summer camp.
