The Accelerated School Community of Schools

The Accelerated School (TAS) Community of Schools is an organization of public schools composed of three charter schools and one preschool.  Located on the Main Street corridor in South Central Los Angeles, TAS looks to serve the children and families of our neighborhood in the best possible settings.  Starting with the W.M. Keck Early Literacy Center, we serve 88 four- year-old students in five preschool classrooms.  The original Accelerated School serves over 700 students from kindergarten through eighth grade.  The Accelerated Charter Elementary School, our 50/50 dual-immersion language program, currently serves 210 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, with plans to expand to 420 students serving up to sixth grade.  Finally our high school, Wallis Annenberg, serves over 450 students in an A-G college preparatory program. TAS, the organization, also provides after school services.
