Several growing industries employ a disproportionate share of low-wage workers. Latinos are acutely affected by this trend, since they are more likely than other Americans to work in low-wage jobs. This report complements NCLR’s collection of stories told by Latino workers, We Needed the Work: Latino Worker Voices in the New Economy. Together, they are a call to action for policymakers to address the widespread exploitation of workers in low-wage industries and build a more sustainable economic recovery.
