Spring In-District Visits

April 18–May 1, 2011

Thank you for registering your in-district visit as part of the Pledge for Respect campaign!

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) has prepared the following materials to help you during your visit.

It’s always a good idea to invite other leaders and community members to join you during the in-district meeting.

Want to do more than just meet with your member of Congress?

You can ask your friends, family, organization partners, and other community members to call their members of Congress in support of the pledge.

  • Sample script and tips for making calls in support of the Pledge for Respect You can also send a letter to your member of Congress and ask other leaders in your community to do the same. It’s especially helpful to ask influential leaders—those with relationships with the representative or senator, and those who represent a large constituency—to write letters.
