Standard Benefits For Full-time Employees

The following is a summary of NCLR's standard benefits for full-time employees for 2007 - January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007:
  • Medical Insurance Coverage Employees are eligible for Medical Insurance coverage the first day of the following month after their hire date. Employees can choose medical coverage with an HMO, POS, or a PPO provider. Dental coverage is also provided. Coverage is available for Employee Only, Employee + Spouse, Employee + Dependents, or Employee + Family. NCLR pays for 85% of insurance premiums for the employee's insurance and 50% of premiums for the employee's spouse and/or dependents. NCLR also offers Domestic Partnership Medical Insurance coverage to all employees. Employees must meet certain criteria established and required by our health providers for this coverage; this coverage is not applicable in Puerto Rico.
  • Life Insurance Coverage Employees are eligible for Life Insurance coverage the first day of the following month after their hire date. This coverage is under Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. The coverage amount is equal to two times the employee’s annual salary. There is no cost to the employee; the entire premium is paid by NCLR.
  • Additional/Optional Life Insurance Coverage Employees are eligible for Additional/Optional Life Insurance coverage the first day of the following month after their hire date. Premium amount is based on the employee’s age and must be paid by the employee through an automatic biweekly payroll deduction. A spouse is eligible for 50% of the employee’s amount, to a maximum of $50,000. Dependent children ages six months to 21 (or 23 if full-time student) are eligible for 10% of the employee’s amount, to a maximum of $10,000.
  • Short-Term Disability (STD) Coverage Employees are eligible after 90 days of employment for Short-Term Disability coverage under Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. There is no cost to the employee; the entire premium is paid by NCLR.
  • Long-Term Disability (LTD) Coverage Employees are eligible for Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage under Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company after continuous and consecutive illness and exhaustion of Short-Term Disability (11 weeks coverage). There is no cost to the employee; the entire premium is paid by NCLR.
  • Employee Savings Plan Employees are eligible from the first day of employment to participate in NCLR's 403(b) plan with pre-tax deductions from the employee's gross wages. After one year, NCLR will contribute a percentage of the employee's salary into the employee's savings plan, with no employee matching requirement and no immediate vesting.
  • Cafeteria Plan Employees are eligible after 30 days of employment to participate in NCLR’s Cafeteria Plan. NCLR provides an additional 3.5% of gross salary toward the employee's cafeteria plan (with a minimum of $1,225 and a maximum of $2,100 per year). This money is contributed first on a pre-tax basis to the employee's medical insurance premium; the remaining amounts are payable on a pre-tax basis into the employee's Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Account, Employee Retirement Savings Plan, or simply as additional taxable gross wages. Employees may also contribute on a pre-tax basis to Flexible Spending Accounts or Dependent Care Accounts through the Cafeteria Plan.
  • Transportation Allowance Employees are eligible from the first day of employment to a Transportation Allowance. This allowance provides $110 per month toward the purchase of MetroCheks or toward payment of monthly parking fees.

  • Education Stipend All full-time NCLR employees are eligible for an Education Stipend after three months of employment. NCLR will reimburse the employee up to $1,000.00 per Fiscal Year for job/business-related appoved education assistance.

  • Holidays, Annual Leave, and Sick Leave NCLR follows the federal government calendar for holidays and provides paid annual leave and sick leave.
  • National Capital Federal Credit Union (NCFCU) NCLR participates in the National Capital Federal Credit Union. This member-owned cooperative provides high-quality, confidential, and personalized services to its members while maintaining safety and soundness in this changing technological environment. Some of the opportunities offered are Regular Share Savings, Share Draft (checking) Accounts, Term Share Accounts, IRAs, and Holiday Club Accounts. All NCLR employees working in the DC Metropolitan area are eligible to join this credit union.   • Bank of America Services NCLR’s bank, Bank of America, provides NCLR employees with an option to join “Bank of America at Work,” a benefit that offers employees services such as overdraft protection for your checking account with a line of credit savings account, or with a Bank of America Visa credit card. Bank of America also provides different checking account options. You also receive receive a 25% discount on monthly charges, or if you maintain a minimum required balance your monthly maintenance fee is waived. They also offer other benefits such as: Online Banking, Personal Loans, Home Loans, and Student Loans.
