Examples of previous research partnerships include:

  • Two-year collaborative effort with academicians from across the country to produce NCLR’s first book, Moving Up the Economic Ladder. Participants included researchers from: Florida International University, FL; Hunter College, NY; Indiana University, IN; Michigan State University, MI; New School University, NY; and University of New Mexico.

  • Participation in an education research project, with a team of researchers led by the Centro de Estudios Puertorriqueños at Hunter College.

  • Chapter contributions to academic books and journals on a range of topics, including low-wage workers, Latino children, and immigration.

  • Analyses to assess the implications of the economic downturn on Latinos in the U.S. by an economist from the University of Puerto Rico.

  • In-depth research to examine the status of Latinos in the criminal justice system, with a team of researchers from Michigan State University.
