2007 NCLR Annual Conference

Stronger Communities. Stronger America.

Thank you for joining us in Miami, Florida for the 2007 NCLR Annual Conference. This year's Conference was a tremendous success, reaching 20,000 people. We hope to see you next year in San Diego, California!

Paul F. Chavez

Following in the footsteps of his father, Paul F. Chavez has become a successful leader of National Farm Workers Service Center Inc., a company founded by Cesar Chavez. He has been able to impact the lives of farm workers, Latinos, and other working families, especially those living on the West Coast.

With a degree in negotiations and collective bargaining, and previous experience with United Farm Workers (UFW), Mr. Chavez has built upon his father’s company and further improved the lives of those in need. While working with the UFW, he served as a union representative, political director, and lobbyist.

Along with his advocacy and civil rights initiatives, he has provided employment; more than doubled the amount of housing rehabilitated and sold to low-income families. With this and other initiatives, he has helped unify and diversify the Latino community.
