NCLR Homeownership Network Learning Alliance

The NCLR Homeownership Network Learning Alliance (NHNLA) is a training and certification program for housing counselors.  The certification courses were developed in collaboration with over 50 National Homeownership Network (NHN) agencies, which operate in many major cities and rural communities throughout the country.  Since the NHN’s inception more than ten years ago, NCLR has collaborated with community-based organizations nationwide to streamline the delivery of housing counseling to ensure:

• Efficient delivery of material to increase the local impact
• Effective results based on family needs
• Culturally competent communication strategies

We hope that you will attend the NHNLA courses to learn an invaluable approach to housing counseling from professional housing counselors and program managers.  We understand that sending staff to trainings can be a burden on available resources, and we have heeded concerns about cost and time while developing the NHNLA program.  We have done our best to maximize the efficiency and accessibility of courses by:

• Offering attendees a limited number of scholarships
• Providing breakfast and lunch to all participants
• Limiting the duration of training to four days maximum
• Offering web seminars in observance of time constraints
• Establishing an online counseling forum that will support attendees

We anticipate that your staff will benefit immensely from participation in our training series.  For more information and details about registering, please visit our website at www.nhnla.org
