OverviewNCLR, in its work with the Hispanic community, realizes that it is only through the generosity of corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals that NCLR is able to pursue its mission. You can play an important role in improving the lives of Hispanic Americans by supporting us today! Individual DonationsBy contributing to NCLR you become part of the NCLR familia, working with community and national leaders to shape a future of unprecedented opportunity and hope for Hispanic Americans – ensuring that our collective voices are heard as never before among our nation’s policy-makers and opinion leaders. “We contribute a unique voice as Americans. Not quasi-Americans, and not second-class Americans, but simply Americans. We represent the promise of America, not its burden.” – Raul Yzaguirre Help NCLR fulfill that promise for ourselves, our children, our communities, and our country. Donate now! Organizational SupportAn unrestricted source of income allows NCLR to follow through with its overall mission and goals, including engaging in a long-term effort toward improving the quality of education for Hispanic children and youth, increasing employment opportunities, and ultimately improving Hispanics’ socioeconomic status. When corporations and individuals contribute to NCLR’s general support fund, they are, in fact, making activities at the very heart of the institution possible. Empowering An American CommunityLaunched in November 2002, NCLR’s Empowering An American Community Campaign has as its goal the raising of $25,000,000 to establish a programmatic endowment fund.Once the endowment is fully funded in 2008, NCLR will have access to funds for more aggressively addressing such critical issues as raising the high school graduation rate of Latinos; decreasing the rates of heart disease, diabetes, and asthma; and educating and empowering Hispanic Americans to build personal and community wealth, through saving for the future and homeownership. The Campaign also seeks to raise an additional $10,000,000 to assist NCLR in purchasing a building in the heart of our nation’s capital. This building will serve as a showcase of Hispanic achievement, a gathering place for our sister organizations, and headquarters for NCLR’s operations. NCLR would like to thank its Board of Directors for their 100% participation and the many corporations and individuals who have joined us in a fundraising effort that promises to build, secure, and protect the future for millions of America’s Hispanics. ¡Muchisimas gracias!
